Why I Was In The Kitchen So Much

The Abbotsford Farmers Market starts it's weekly summer season today.  Me, whose first name is Procrastination, spent this week doing what I've had months to do, and just kept, well, procrastinating on.
So yeah, it was a mega jam making session this week.
20 batches, 18 different flavours,  88 pounds of white death sugar, umpteen pounds of fruit, approximately 240 jars which translates into somewhere around 280 cups of jam.
This was part of Thursday's cook-up.

18 varieties you say, pray tell, what are they?

Apricot
Blackberry jam
Blackberry jelly
Bluebarb
Blueberry Peach
Blue Cranberry
Bumbleberry
Crabapple Jelly
Cranky Mango
Ginger Pear
Mango Chutney
Mild Pepper jelly
Peachy Mango
Raspberry jam (three batches)
Raspberry Rhubarb
Strawberry
Strawberry Rhubarb
Seville Marmalade

Add to that another 13 flavours that I still had enough left of to get me through tomorrow.

And the weather is going to be perfect!

    1. Cranky Mango is cranberries and mangos:)
Bumbleberry is a mixture of fruit, mostly berries. Raspberries, strawberries, blackberries, blueberries and rhubarb.

  3. I am so impressed! My mom makes fig jam for us every year and sometimes another variety or two, plum, strawberry, peach, mango, or something. Store-bought jam cannot compare with homemade! I bet you will have lots of takers.
