Evening Concert

Be sure to have your volume turned up, and let your dogs sing along. (Those coyotes sounded much louder in real life)  One sounded like it was in our back bush, and the other was in the field next door.

  3. Please be careful with old Callie and the kitties. Our coyotes will take a dog down in a heartbeat.

    1. Okay, now that's scary:( Now I'll be worrying about Pride, although he's still quite capable of doing serious damage if he has to.

  5. Sometimes we can have four coyotes howling from four different places. When I googled it, it seems the howling is to bring family members back together, or to warn other coyotes off, but when you think about it, do we really know why they howl?.

The hayfield next door to us was just cut today, so there should be lots for them to eat out there hopefully, what with voles and other small creatures that get caught up and killed by the mower.
A reprieve for the chickens I'm hoping.
