How Not To....

Remember when you were learning how to take decent photographs, and one of the things mentioned was to be conscious of the background?
Well here's a prime example.
Take that chair and the dog pool out, and the picture would have been much better.
But, it was pelting rain when I first started, and I was sat inside in the dry, taking this through the window.
I was trying to get the reflections of the pots on the wet deck.
I never thought to go out and move that stuff.
I think we've gone from the Spring that wasn't to the Summer that isn't.

  3. Gordeous flowers. We are enjoying June gloom in mid July. Most welcome here in SoCal :0)

  4. There were more varieties of flowers in those pots, but some have rotted off due to the less than stellar conditions we've had.

  5. Your flowers are lovey despite your lake of sunny weather.
I must say we have had a nice summer. Better than last year. This year I think it has been at least 50/50 if not better.

  6. I enjoyed your pots of flowers anyway. I do the same thing sometimes..it is really hard to unclutter some backgrounds. Somehow the dog pool brings a smile to me..cause I know how much it is enjoyed! :)
