Living Wall

Remember the living wall I showed you at the Vancouver International Airport?
Here's the one I mentioned that is in South Surrey.  It's quite lovely.  I didn't cross the road to see if the plant containment system is the same as the one at the airport.  I'm regretting that now, as I think it is quite different.  It is a south facing wall, and it looks like many of the plants are for dry, warm areas.

Like many great artworks, it's best viewed from a distance

Here's a link to more information about this living wall

  1. I've never seen anything quite like that. Thanks for sharing!

  2. That is totally cool! It is fantastic they picked appropriate plantings for arid dry areas, water retention on the wall and in the full sun must be a real bugger to maintain.

  3. Hats off to the designers and those who care for it.

  4. Wow isn't that something! Yes I remember the one at the airport...I wonder how it progressed. This one is really well done..someone had a vision! :)

  5. Yes I saw that last time I was there. Going in to print my boarding pass. It is really amazing for sure.

  6. That is incredible! I just love it. I wonder if you could do something like that in our cold climate?

I love to get comments, so don't be shy!
