It's Good to be Home

It's always great to go away, but I love coming back home. We got back tonight after 5 days of camping in the Okanagan. I'll bore you tomorrow with all the details. I ended up bringing work home with me. About 60-70 lbs of grapes, plums and quince to be made into jams and jellies, and garlic for planting.

Looks like I'll be busy tomorrow.

  3. ...as that very wise Dorothy said in the Wizard of Oz, "there's no place like home!" :o)

I just returned recently after spendin' time with my Daddy who lost his three decade battle with Leukemia. Home is a good place to be!

I'm so happy I dropped over and poked around in your beautiful blog a bit. I promise, I put everything back just the way it was. I'm a neat freak and twisted like that. Heheehehe!

God bless ya'll and have a beautiful 'fall' day from the happy hills and hollers of the Missouri Ponderosa!!!

  5. I had to look on a map but Canadian Okanagan is not that far from Wa Okagogan. Infact, Penticton (which is right in the middle) of our Oganagans is where my father was born. Not that you really needed to know all this info... :)

  6. Hi Elizabeth,
After your first comment, I did look up Omak, and yes, the two areas are not far apart. Looks like there is one letter difference in the spelling from one country to the other though:)

  7. Someone gave me a tiny jar of "organic wild wineberry" preserves. No other info on the label. Yours?
